カナダ・ワーキングホリデービザの発給枠と抽選
カナダ・ワーキングホリデービザには、年間6,500人という発給枠がある。
この発給枠は、先着順ではなくランダムな抽選により選出される。
この発給枠の抽選のことを『rounds of invitations』というよ。
We regularly invite eligible candidates from the IEC pools to apply for a work permit. These are called rounds of invitations.
Rounds of invitations
eligible → ワーホリビザの申請条件を満たしている人のこと。
pools → 抽選待ちしている人のこと。
work permit → 労働許可、ここではワーホリビザを意味する。

抽選で選ばれた人には、申請プロセスへ進むための招待状(invitation)が送られる。
カナダワーホリビザ発給枠、招待状の数は毎年変化する
ビザ申請に招待される人の数は毎年異なると記載がある。
抽選は、①枠が埋まるまで②その年度の終わりまで、繰り返し行われる。
The number of candidates invited to apply during each round varies. Rounds will take place until there are no more spots available or the IEC season closes.
Rounds of invitations
Varies → これは動詞 vary 。その前は長い主語だね。
season → ここでは季節ではなく、年度のこと。
招待される人の数が異なる理由は、①招待状を却下した人②招待状の有効期限を過ぎてしまった人➂申請後にビザ発行を拒否された人など、ビザ発行に至らない人の数を想定しているから。→Dates of rounds of invitations

抽選の近況は、金曜日にアップデートされるとある。

This pool is now open. → 抽選に参加できるよ。
Quota → 年間発給枠。
First round of invitations → 新年度の抽選が開始された週
Final round of invitations → 最終の抽選を行う週(まだ告知されてない。
Invitations issued to date → すでに送られた招待状の数。
Spots available → 残りの発給枠。
Candidates in the pool → 抽選待ちしている人の数。
新年度の抽選は、1月に始まるみたいだね。23年度は、9月の時点でまだ募集しいる。
ここでのポイントは：
- 今年度の抽選にまだ参加できるのか。
- 抽選で選ばれる確率はどれくらいあるのか。

Chance of receiving an invitation in the next round の項目に Excellent とある場合は、選ばれる確率が高い。内容は更新されるかもなので、Learn more about the numbers. で必ず詳細を確認してね。
Understand the ratings
- Excellent = 80% – 99% chance
- Very good = 60% – 79% chance
- Fair = 40% – 59% chance
- Low = 20% – 39% chance
- Very low = 1% – 19% chance
仮に、Very low の状態で抽選に参加し選ばれなくても、また翌年度の抽選に参加することができる。抽選は無料で参加できる。
注意：抽選に参加するには、年齢制限を満たしている必要がある。

カナダワーホリビザ発給枠の抽選【細かい注意点】
抽選は、本当にランダムに選出される。
We will randomly select Working Holiday candidates from the pool and invite them to apply. All candidates in the pool have an equal chance of being invited.
Working Holiday candidate
During each round of invitations, you and the other candidates in the pool have an equal chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply. Your profile will not be scored or ranked. A computerized system will randomly pick a number of candidates.
Help Centre
最終の抽選ラウンドに関しては、最低でも5日前に告知すると記載がある。
We will provide at least five days notice before the final round of invitations.

最終の抽選ラウンドが終了した後も、ごくわずかな数を招待する場合もある。
To meet the quota in these cases, we may issue a very small number of Invitations to Apply after the final round takes place.

その年度(シーズン)の終了までに、招待状を受け取れない場合がある。
There is also a possibility that you will not receive an invitation before the end of the season.
